Exos® removable and braces
What is it and How Does it work?
Exos® is a revolutionary, thermoformable technology, offering an adjustable and reformable solution addressing various pathologies for upper extremity, lower extremity, and spine.
The Exos advanced technology allows a clinician to mold the brace directly to the patient for the best possible fit, comfort and stabilization.
The Exos® braces can be used to control wrist joint motion for stable fractures and other injuries requiring joint stability.
The bonus is that they are waterproof. Go swimming, surfing, or even dance in the rain. If it wet, take it off and dry your arm and put it back on carefully ensuring that the broken bones the brace is protecting don’t get shifted or moved.

In order for us to have the ability to fit you for an Exos® brace, and you are in the emergency room, you need to:
have a diagnosis of a STABLE fracture from a physician. Not a fracture that requires an operation to fix
have the TYPE of brace that they are requesting to be fit written on a prescription pad or letterhead so we know which brace to fit you for.
have a fibreglass or plaster SLAB (a cast on one side of the arm and doesn't encase the whole limb) or a cast that is BIVALVED (cut down on two sides so we can remove it). This is so we can take it off here at the clinic and fit and mold the custom brace for you. We don't have the ability at the clinic to cut a whole cast off.

No. Only hand, wrist, and humeral fractures can be fit for an Exos® brace. Due to the fact that you can remove the brace to dry/clean the area underneath it, the fracture has to be STABLE and NON-OPERATIVE.
See the list of available braces below, along with prices.

Yes! These braces are customizable.
You can choose various colours and patterns to create a personalized look that suits your style.
Once you come to the clinic, with the prescription or letter in hand from the referring physician or nurse practitioner stating which brace you are to be fitted for (see list below), we will measure your arm to give you the appropriate size.
We have a number of these Exos® braces in stock, but if not, we will order it for you and it will come in a couple of days. Once we have it, we heat it up in the special Exos® oven and then mold it to your limb.
If it is loose, you can tighten it using the Boa system, and if there is a pressure point, don't worry, we can reheat and remold it up to five times..
