Bike fit program
The bike-body relationship is an important component of cycling, and is often overlooked. A bike fitting assessment involves careful analysis, measurement and adjustment of various components of the bike and all 5 rider-bike contact points. Bike fitting is beneficial to help alleviate pain and discomfort on the bike, and get the most out of your ride!
At this time, we are only offering ROAD BIKE FITTING appointments. Stay tuned for updates on mountain, gravel and triathlon bike fitting.
What does a full bike fitting session look like?
A Full Bike Fit is a two-hour session for more experienced riders using a CLIPLESS PEDAL SYSTEM. This session will include:
Consultation to identify your needs, goals, and areas of complaint on the bike
Movement exam to assess flexibility, strength and mobility
Observation of the cyclist from several views and initial measurement of the bike
Adjustments to the foot-pedal interface
Adjustment to seat height and positioning
Adjustment to handlebar height and positioning
Discussion of physiotherapy stategy and exercise program for injury resolution and prevention
What does a Recreational bike fitting session look like?
A Recreational Bike Fit is a 90 minute session for individuals who are newer to cycling and looking to help get their bike set up to fit them best. This type of assessment is best for riders using FLAT PEDAL SYSTEM. The session will include all elements of the FULL BIKE FIT, without the foot-pedal interface adjustments.
What should i bring to my bike fitting appointment?
During the assessment you will be pedalling your bike at various intensities, so wear cycling clothes. If you have clipless pedals, make sure to bring your cycling shoes. Ensure shoes are dry and clean (ensure there is no excessive dirt/rocks within the cleat, this will impact our ability to adjust the foot-pedal interface).
