Tamara grew up in Greek Town in Toronto and was extremely active in competitive gymnastics, swimming, and martial arts, which lay the foundation for an active lifestyle that crossed many different disciplines and activities over the course of her life thus far. She continues to enjoy these sports, but has added softball, canoeing, hiking, racquet sports, curling, and a newfound interest in fishing.

Tamara enjoys working with a variety of clients including the active aging population, athletes, youth, and pregnant women as their bodies go through a myriad of changes over the course of their pregnancy.

She works with her clients collaboratively to come up with a massage treatment plan that allows for not only restoration of functional range of motion, but also for neuromuscular activation and restoration of movement patterns.

She has a passion for making people feel better not only through her skills and knowledge as a Registered Massage Therapist, but also truly enjoys getting to know her clients, to help them get the most out of massage therapy from a body and mind perspective as well. In her words:

“I love to make people feel better. I enjoy the hands-on physical nature of the work, along with the connection that comes along with working in a non-emergent health care setting. I enjoy knowing that what I love to do makes people’s day better”.

She has a significant amount of experience between her own athleticism in her life, coupled with her formal training, and has been studying human movement and massage therapy for as long as she can remember.

Tamara has a great sense of humour and loves engaging with her clients, but she is also quite sensitive to the challenges and issues that her clients face, and loves to assist where she can in helping them work through these parts of their lives as well.

Outside of Reactivate, she continues to lead an active lifestyle with her passion for not only athletic endeavours, but also creative pursuits, enjoying the great outdoors and everything that our community has to offer.
